Original Biltong Sticks
Our original style biltong is made the way biltong has been made for centuries. We hand-cut premium topside or silverside beef which is then spiced with crushed coriander and marinated to absorb the flavours. To complete the process the beef is slowly air-dried for several days.
Protea Foods' original biltong comes in long sticks. Slice off what you want to eat, whether that's thin slices or thick chunks. Original biltong sticks are sold in selected fine food stores and delicatessens around Australia.
Available in traditional and peri-peri flavours.
Sliced Biltong
Protea Foods sliced biltong is carefully and finely cut from our original biltong sticks so you do not have to do it yourself. With still the same great flavour and taste, you can enjoy our biltong wherever you are.
Protea Food's sliced biltong is available in convenient 40g, 100g and 500g packets in traditional and peri-peri flavours.
Biltong Stokkies
Literally meaning, 'sticks' in Afrikaans, stokkies are small tasty twigs of biltong. Compared with our original biltong sticks, stokkies are hand-cut into one centimetre strips from top quality topside beef. They are then marinated in the same manner as original sticks and slowly air-dried. The result is a crisper product that is packed with flavour and absolutely moreish.
Stokkies are low in fat, high in protein and iron and are perfect as a snack on-the-go, while watching your favourite sports, or taken on camping trips or hikes in the Australian bush.
Available in traditional and peri-peri flavours in 50g, 100g and 200 gram packets and canisters.
Mini-Stick Biltong
Mini-sticks are the “mini-me’s” of our Original biltong: small in size but big in flavour. They’re thinner, crispier and just as tasty and perfect snacks to take with you on your hiking expeditions or when you just need that protein snack on the go.
